LEGALMATCH APPOINTS DONALD KEANE VICE-PRESIDENT, MARKETING
San Francisco CA (February 21, 2005)—LegalMatch named Donald Keane the new Vice-President of Marketing, effective February 1, 2005. The appointment was announced today by Randy Wells, Chief Executive Officer.
Keane, who will be based in LegalMatch's headquarters in San Francisco, will oversee the brand marketing department with functional responsibilities of managing advertising, public relations, Web-based marketing, commercial content, research, promotions, and partnership marketing.
Some of Keane's future plans for the department are to develop a strategic marketing plan that focuses on driving new attorney and consumer case acquisition, develop new strategic alliances and partner marketing opportunities, and establish the LegalMatch brand as a global leader of online legal services.
Wells said, "Don is a marketing heavyweight, and we're so fortunate to have him. With his background and experience working first hand with the most innovative technology and consumer-oriented industries, he is poised to catapult the LegalMatch brand into world-wide recognition."
Keane came to LegalMatch from Intuit Incorporated where he directed their U.S. in-store marketing organization from May 2002 through October 2004. In that position, he oversaw retail category management, merchandising, branding, advertising, online, consumer promotion, partnership marketing, market research and customer support.
While with Intuit, Keane developed and launched the company's industry-leading category management programs which were implemented at a number of top retailers, including Best Buy, Staples, OfficeMax and Wal-Mart.
A 1993 graduate of the Anderson Graduate School of Management at the University of California, Los Angeles with a Master of Business Administration, Marketing, Keane earlier received a B.A. degree in political science (1988) from Hamilton College.
